The Joy of Giving!!

The students of City International School, Mumbai were touched on interaction with the underprivileged children of “SAMARPAN” a street School at Lokhandwala, Andheri (W). Students interacted with them and introduced each other. Some of them were children of labourers and some did odd jobs during the day. A boy expressed his desire to study and how he would use his spare time for study.

All of them were given a hamper -1 kilo wheat flour, sugar, rice and ˝ kilo dal. The children of ‘Samarpan” were thrilled and their joy knew no bounds.

Our students realized how blessed they are! Just before Diwali on 1 October 2014 the students visited “Asha Kiran” at Veera Desai road an Old Age Home. The School donated a T.V. from the amount collected by our Charity Club Activity.

The students experienced “The Joy of Giving” when smiles lit up the faces of the inmates. They exchanged words, cracked jokes, sang songs and danced to the music. They sure made their Day and came back to School with happy memories!!
