The aim and objective of this club is to promote awareness about our environment and conserve all resources and reduce waste.  Activities conducted under Green School Movement showcase a community’s commitment to its children and their future, who in turn learn from an early age the importance and benefits of acting as responsible stewards of their communities and the larger world.)
 
Activities Undertaken
Switching off the Air-conditioners at specific timings, monitoring the electricity bill, maintain a record and making a graphical representation.
Declaring our school as a no plastic zone area and encouraging the students and visitors to use paper bags (Paper bags are made by the students in SUPW class).
Calculating the school Carbon - foot prints and maintaining a record.
Setting up a botanical garden specially of the medicinal plants.
Conducting rallies and creating awareness by celebrating Earth Day , environment day , van Mahotsav, No car day , No tv day , among students and local community.
Organising competitions , talk shows , to promote environment awareness , reuse and recycling importance , conservation of energy sources , rain water harvesting , global warming , mangroves and its importance for students .

   
  “Serve the Society and repay our debts”
 
The students of City International School - Green School Club members and Teachers participated in the NDTV-CLEANATHON Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan drive to clean the school ground and its premises. They began the drive by cleaning with brooms and picking up the waste donned with gloves and mask.

The students also carried placards and charts with slogans like Go Green, Plant more trees etc. They hereby spread the message of “Clean India, Green India”.

The efforts put by the students and teachers was appreciable. At the end of the drive the students thanked the Principal for giving them an opportunity to be a part of “Clean India!!!”.
